TMX reports that Hawk’s Wife Has Left Him for a Cock
It is hard to believe the salacious story of Hawk’s wife. Apparently, the voluminous beauty abruptly married hawk after only just meeting him. “I was so in love with his whistle and how he swept down from the sky and perched himself on the fence above me,” reported the hen. She continues, “I was so happy with him at first, but then the Cock appeared in the city where Hawk and I were living. He had changed so much. He was so handsome and had such a sweet voice. I immediately fell in love with him and left with him on foot to return to my former farm.”
Hawk contends that the Hen is a cheat and a fickle liar. “She doesn’t know what she wants!” He intends on seeking damages from her parents on the dowry that he had paid. More on this exciting story soon.

UPDATE:
BREAKING from TMX - Hawk Sues Hen’s Parents
Reporting from outside the courtroom where we are awaiting the verdict on the Hawk/Hen Case.
What we do know is that the dashing, public figure Hawk has sued Hen’s parents for the dowry paid upon their marriage. Hen left Hawk for Cock soon after she had moved out of town following a whirlwind one-day romance. However, Cock, who had been in love with Hen since childhood, walked to Hen’s house and convinced her to leave with him. Hawk, upset and embarrassed sued Hen’s parents for the dowry he had paid. An inside source is reporting that Hen’s parents told the judge that they were too poor to repay the dowry. We will let you know when the verdict is returned.

UPDATE:
BREAKING from TMX - Judge Allows Hawk to Eat Cock’s Children as Repayment
In a strange turn of events, the judge presiding over the split between Hawk and Hen has returned a verdict in favor of Hawk. Since Hen’s parents are too poor to repay her dowry, the judge says that Hawk can eat any of Cock’s children from this point forward as repayment of the dowry.

Writer’s note: I stayed true to the characters and plot of the original story, Why a Hawk Kills Chickens. I thought the retelling of the story would fit perfectly in the form of Tabloid News. It has a lot of drama....fickle wife, scorned husband, cocky boyhood friend, and parents who are poverty-stricken!

  1. Hey Hannah,

You have a really interesting story here. I enjoyed reading it, and the content is great. However, it was almost impossible to read it because it appears as black font on a black background. I don't know if this was intentional or not, but you should definitely tweak it because its a bit hard to read.

    Good luck,
    Brady

  2. Hey Hannah,

I really enjoyed reading your story, and I especially like the way that it is told like a press release. I think that is a really unique and cool way to tell a story in an unconventional way, especially in a class where you'd expect a traditional story. I would recommend changing the font or background color so it is easier to read, as well!
